Hello Hillhurst Families, 

We hope you had a wonderful long weekend, filled with quality time with family! The temperate weather continues, and we are thankful for an extended Fall season. 

Here are some important dates throughout October: 

Oct. 16  

• School Council Bottle Drive before school  
• First School Council organized Fun Lunch 
• School Council Meeting at 6:30 – onsite and virtual 

Oct. 24 

• STUDENT AND CLASS Photo Day 

Oct. 25  

• Professional Learning Day – NO SCHOOL FOR STUDENTS 
• School Council Sponsored Halloween Party (6-8pm)  *note the location: Hillhurst Sunnyside Community Association  

Oct. 30 

• Students are invited to wear costumes to school (no masks, gore, weapons, violence. Please also feel free to not wear costumes according to your family’s preference. Hibou gear is always welcome!! 
• Students will participate in a variety of fall-themed activities, with school-wide costume parade 
• Ongoing learning will continue
